Captivate 9 - characters from the Asset Store won't open. Images appear to be corrupt.

The characters downloaded from the asset store are corrupt, them won't open. Has anybody come across this problem? If so how is it resolved?

I've run into this where I tried to open images in image viewers / editors, but I could still place and use the image in Captivate through the characters menu.

They may have DRM or other encoding anomalies that aren't being handled by image editing applications, including PhotoShop!

    Hi there,

Can you please explain slightly more on the issue? Are you getting any error messages when you try to insert a downloaded character in Captivate 9?

    Thanks,

‌I'm sorry I hadn't figured out that characters can only be inserted via the character button within captivate itself. I was trying to insert them via images and trying to pick them from the folder of origin like most windows programmes do.

You probably can tell I'm new at Captivate. Perhaps its worth point this out clearly on the Asset Store front page. It would save us newbies a tonne of time.

    many thanks

    Hi there,

As you pointed out the downloaded characters can be inserted only through Character dialog. You wont be able to open or edit it with any external image editors.

    Thanks,
