Captivate 9 Crashes at Launch No Matter What

Captivate 9 is crashing at launch. The new project window appears for a couple seconds, and then the application unexpectedly crashes. I'm paying $30/mo for something I can't use. I have tried every fix I've found by searching, all to no avail. For example: running as admin, clearing SLCache folder, uninstalling all Adobe applications and reinstalling Captivate 9 etc.

Adobe - PLEASE help! I would like to get my organization using Adobe Captivate Prime LMS, but so far not so good if we can't even keep Captivate running.

    I had that happen as soon as I updated to CC2017 products. I thought it may have had something to do with the media encoder file pointers getting misdirected etc but was not certain. I wondered if this would be an issue from the Captivate 9.0.1 version upgrades to the 9.0.2... versions.

    My solution was to completely uninstall 9, reboot and then clean reinstall to the latest version 9.0.2.437. I did this about 3 weeks ago now and have not had any issues since. Actually seems to be loading up a little faster now as well. bzilla

    I had to uninstall Captivate and then reinstall.  Now it works. This was true for both of the machines I had Captivate installed on (home MacBook, and work iMac).

    This is just pitiful. Now Captivate 9 launches but I can't get Premiere Pro 2017 or After Effects 2017 to boot. I'm expected to keep paying money for this?

    May be unrelated, but I was having crashes also.  Just re-booting solved that.

    If it keeps happening I would recommend a complete uninstall of 9, reboot and then clean install to the latest version 9.0.2.437.

    With the number of changes made to 9.0.2... while inconvenient it may be the better option in the long run.

    same issue to me.. since 3 weeks upon installation I couldnt finish a single project due to crash.. i m using 9.0.2.421, win 7 /64.

    any help please

    im having same issue, updated CC for illustrator, indesign, and photoshop and now captivate is crashing on opening every time....Ive tried all same fixes too and nothing has worked. Very Frustrating.

    Did you clear the cache and clean the Preferences for Cp? Are you using the latest version 9.0.2.437?

    Your issue could be due to corrupted fonts.

    Have you researched that particular fix as yet?  It's been mentioned many times on these forums.
