Question

Captivate 9 - Demo Video mode - It keeps crashing.. what can I do?

I have been trying to record a 2-3 minute demo video for several days now.

1. I get the demo complete and as I am listening to it (before I hit the edit button) it crashes - leaving me with nothing saved.

2. I complete the demo recording and immediately hit edit and save it, but am unable to really do anything to it like add text captions without a ton of problems, so I gave up on that.

3.  I try to publish to youtube and just go with what I have and it crashes and says "fatal error please close and restart captivate" which leaves me with the original file STILL.

I'm not trying to do anything complex, but have had SO MANY PROBLEMS.

Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions? (I have set it to run as administrator already as I found that as a possible solution and it still crashes.) Any help would be great!

Does anyone think that this will be answered yet? It is really frustrating to pay $50 a month for a program that doesn't do the primary thing it's supposed to do.

I don't know if this will be relevant, but sometimes crashing is due to using network drives.

Are you using Local or Network drives for your Project files and Working/Temp files?

Can you check the exact version number, please? It should be 9.0.2.437.

Are you on Windows? If yes, do you run Captivate as Administrator?
