captivate 9 does not offer an option to publish in flash

When I publish my Captivate 9 project, the only output option I am given is HTML5.  My client requires a .swf file.  How can I publish in Flash?

Thanks!

Correct answer Lilybiri

You probably created a responsive, not a normal project. Since Flash is no longer supported on mobile devices, a responsive project cannot be published to SWF, which is logical.

If your client wants SWF, you need a normal project.

The information you've received is incorrect, although I do not know the correct response. The way I know it is not right is because my system used to provide both options of the .HTML and the .SWF. Now, the only option is the HTML5 which isn't compatible with a lot. Unfortunately, I will be missing out on a working position because I am unable to show my work appropriately. The HTML file only posts the program for my own private viewing. I no longer have the option to share my work. The worst part is I'm paying $30/mos, for a program I can't use, for a year. Good luck with your venture even though it was some time ago.

@mbshus:  As Lilybiri pointed out on this thread back in 2015, if you're not seeing the option to publish to SWF it will be because you have created a Responsive project, not a normal CPTX project.

I have also answered this question for you in another thread you started today.  I think it's time you started reading the Captivate HELP files.  It will save you further embarrassment.

@RodWard -- Actually, I did manage to figure this out. I'm pleased to say I'm learning the entire program on my own, lesson-free, and now that I have time, quite well. No need for my embarrassment, despite the "tactfulness" given by an all-knowing. Thanks!

P.S. You were partially correct about the Responsive Project, although I had forgotten it was a Template.
