Captivate 9 Excessive Viewing Issues in All Browsers

For some time I have been troubleshooting Captivate 9 to no avail. It seems no matter what settings I choose to publish, or which browser I try to use, no result is satisfactory. When I view my course in Chrome, I see red boxes where graphics are, and all of my interface functionality is invisible. All I can see is text onscreen. When I view it in IE, with all my plugins enabled and all settings I could scour on the Internet, I cannot hear audio. As these two major browsers are essential for any client's viewing, I am really disappointed that this version has turned into finding the secret handshake. I think much if not all of my problem might be related to starting this in Cap 8 and letting the tool upgrade my file. I do not believe this works correctly either. In general, this product has cost me money for the excessive hours I have to spend finding answers and trying to find someone on a buried forum to answer my questions essential to using the product. A customer/developer has no choice but to abandon this product. What exactly is the path forward for this? when will these obvious bugs be fixed in a release and acknowledged? Additionally, the quiz will not work as you have set it up in quiz settings. I cannot get it to function according to the settings for not proceeding until the user selects something; auto inserted back buttons don't work correctly (I have no control over these as you know; I use a checkbox); you can not have main audio, plus feedback audio without them overlapping when clicked, and Adobe has no fix for this either; and the Continue button insists on clicking twice instead of once as it should. I read that this is because the course will not work locally for this functionality and has to be in the LMS. I can't understand how this would make any sense to demand a developer have to test their work inside an LMS to ensure quality. For all of these reasons, I will only be building in Storyline moving forward. It's a real shame, because this was my favorite tool.
