Captivate 9 fails to start

After installing Captivate 9, it will never start.  Always errors and crashes out

Checking event logs shows faulting module is MSVCR100.dll which points me towards Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package however reinstalling this has not helped.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Captivate but the same problem remains.

This is on a Windows 7 x64 machine, plenty of disk space, 8GB of RAM.

I've tried the steps of deleting data inside SLCache folder as per this thread Startup Problem with Adobe Captivate 9 but it didn't help.

Any ideas?  Thanks.

Same for me on Windows 10!

I've tried a lot - no success: de/reinstalling - with/without internet connection - admin/local/online .. SLCache deleted - Adobe-User-Folder deleted ...Creative Cloud deleted - all c++-packages de-/reinstalled...( as consideres by the support chat...) , made another AdobeID, tried another msvcr100.dll...
