Captivate 9 freezes while trying to open captivate 6 files

Hi,

As per the my title, Adobe Captivate 9 on my mac keeps on freezing when I am trying to open up old cptx files.

I am trying to recreate some responsive elearning modules and cant even get started. Can anyone provide any assistance?

I have a 2015 Mac retina with the fancy video card so I think my machine should be able to handle it.

    I need to open them to extract the resources.

    Some of the files open but most of the files just hit 60% and then the coloured wheel of death appears.

    I will try update to the latest captivate 9 version and try again.

    A cptx-file is a zipped folder, maybe you can find some assets when extracting the folder?

    Lot has changed between 6 and 9, I fear that that could be the cause. CP7 files should open, but 6 is almost 5 years ago. Do you have problems creating new projects in 9? Are you on the latest version, 9.0.2.437? Can you clean the preferences?
