Captivate 9: How to make SmartShape Converted into Button Look Like Default Quiz Button Style

I have created a SmartShape and converted it to a button for use on the Results Slide (the Continue button shown on the right in the image below). All functionality is working well. I just need to make the SmartShape Continue Button look like the Retake Assessment button with the bevel effect. I cannot see a way to do this. It does not appear that I can apply the "Default Quiz Button Style" to the SmartShape button. Nor do I see a way to manually add a bevel effect to the SmartShape button and I also don't see a way to remove the bevel from the Retake Assessment button. Whatever the solution, I just need the buttons to look the same. Is this possible? What am I missing please?

Because I need it to appear based on an Advanced Action. My understanding is that can't be done on the regular Continue button. The functionality appears to be working very well.

If you turn the Continue button into a Transparent button, set Alpha to 0 and Stroke Width to 0, it will still be on top of the stack, because it is an embedded object. Create an image that looks like the original button and have that shown up with the Advanced action.

I am popping in, because it looks like you deleted the original Continue button on the score slide, which is a bad idea: that is the most important embedded object on the Score slide. Do not delete it at all! It has a lot of functionality included and deleting that kind of embedded objects can lead to screw up quiz functionality.  Have a look at these articles:

As for your real question: quiz and score slides are at this moment the only locations where the 'old' type of button cannot be replaced by a shape button. They always use the Default Quiz Button style, but that is not always a Text button like the one you show in the screenshot. Some themes use Transparent buttons as default Quiz button style. The Fill nor the stroke of a Text button can be changed, which is possible for Transparent buttons. Change the default Quiz button style in the Object Style Manager to a Transparent button that looks like your shape button, which is very easy.

Thank you Lilybiri, but I did NOT delete the Continue button. I have simply hidden it. The functionality is working as desired. It's simply the look and feel I am trying to finalize. I appreciate your suggestion. I am simply adding a quiz to a client's existing course, so I will have to see if they are amenable to changing the look of the other buttons. Thank you.

Why don't you use the default Continue button? Hiding a slide or an object is the same as having it deleted, unless you make the object visible again on runtime.

The Retake Assessment button is NOT a Shape.  So since Object Styles are according to Objects, different objects cannot have the same style applied.

You may have better luck changing the Retake Assessment button to a Transparent Button instead of a Text Button and then using the Fill and Stroke settings to make it look more like the Shape Button.
