Captivate 9 - Images disappearing in export file

Hi,

I'm working in a Captivate 9 responsive project.

I'm running into a weird issue where I have images just disappearing from view on the desktop screen when I export.

The images are there; I know from the source code and when I shrink the browser size down to a phone size and back it appears.

It's there in preview mode but not in the exports.

They're not hidden, or have opacity of 0%. They're actually the same as they were before they stated disappearing.

I tried switching the images with a new image, and it seemed to work.

But now it happened again, right after I updated a new image that did the same thing. Images that were showing up just fine yesterday, disappeared today.

None of this was happening until I started working the mobile size screens for responsive.

The Image that keeps disappearing is the screen that appear in the phone and so far it seems to only be these images.

Hi Rod, I didn't mention that work flow because it is a responsive project. I did never try that work flow with such a project, it will be with breakpoint views since it is CP9. All depends on how much the lower breakpoint views are different from the primary view.

I tried moving it into a new project file, still had the same issue.

But, the stupidest thing fixed it.

I moved the first layer that was disappearing, up a few layers, and then they all started to show up again.

I must have come across some weird bug for it to do that.

I've checked on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Internet Explore.

We're also checked it on another computer and still ended up with the same results.

This is the first time we've had this issue with the program

I have a bad feeling that the project may have become corrupted. You already tried to clear the cache (after having created another backup)? If you don't have problems with other files, Cleaning the Preferences is not really necessary because that would fix a corrupted Captivate, not necessarily one corrupt project.

I tried clearing the cache, and still didn't get any changes.

It's the same images that keep disappearing, so I'm betting they're the ones that became corrupt some how

Can you check the exact version number? It should be 9.0.2.437.

Yep,

9.0.2.437 is the version I'm currently using

Wanted first to be sure about that.

Seems a strange phenomenon.  Which browser did you use for testing the published versions? Did you try several browsers?
