Can anyone get Captivate 9 to run on OS X 10.12.1 (Sierra) ?? It's not responding, with a failure to launch.

Try installing CP10 / 2017 ?

I ran into this same problem with the default install (9.0.2.421) even after reinstalling. My instance kept hanging about the time that the Adobe Captivate Update notice popped up. Once I installed the patch provided at Adobe - Adobe Captivate Support Center : Downloads, I was able to move past this notice and allowed to start a project.

Reminder at least in my instance: you will need to right-click on the "Install" and "Show contents", browse your way into the "MacOS" folder, right-click on the "Install" executable, and "Open with" "Terminal" for the install to work.

Not only in your case; for MAC Sierra, this is the default installation flow:

1. Right-click on the "Install" > "Show contents"

2. Browse your way into the "MacOS" folder

3. Right-click on the "Install" executable > Choose "Open with" > "Terminal"

Try clearing your cache files, I know a colleague had issues after updating to OS Sierra and managed to get it working after clearing those files.

Works for me. I had initially problems in installing it but i followed the instructions at Installing Creative Cloud on macOS 10.12 (Sierra)  and it installed.

So far I just tried a test project and didn't get any errors.
