Captivate 9 issue with matching quiz slide (HTML5)

There are some strange things happening to my matching quiz slides, which are in a responsive project:

  1. When viewing the quiz slide for the first time in my published project, the matching column 1 shows dropdown lists:
  2. But soon afterwards, just a few seconds before the audio is finished (the one that tells the user to solve this excercise), the dropdown list dissapears!
  3. When reloading the page, the items from column 1 appear not all on one, but one after another ... even sometimes not all of the items show at all:
  4. When all items are visible (or not all), the dropdown dissapears again:

So as there is no way to set any timing for the objects, how does this happen? It´s not very comfortable for users as they are used to select from the dropdown list to assign items to column 2. Is this a known issue with HTML5, is there any way to solve this problem? Any idea for a workaround??

Correct answer Lilybiri

I cannot help you, but I did see a few mentions of problems with matching quiz slides in HTML5 output already. A workaround could be to create a custom matching slide but having both dropdown lists and the possibility to drag answers I never was able to realize. Easiest way is by using dropdown interactions in combination  with a Submit button and a conditional action.

Thanks, Lilybiri. For this one I changed the matching quiz into an Drag&Drop slide.

Any idea why my post has been rejected by the moderator?

Drag&Drop is the other choice indeed.

No idea why your answer was rejected, I didn't do it myself (am a moderator). Did you have links in it?
