Captivate 9: Not generating preview

Since this morning Captivate 9 has stopped generating previews.

I am working on a MacBook Pro (Mac Os 10.12.3)

My Captivate version is 9.0.0.230

When I try to generate a preview the process starts very slowly. In about 1 minute reaches 40% percent and then crashes. I have included a video of the problem. (https://youtu.be/jV0v5Bgy7Yk)The problem is common to all the preview options. I tried with different files with the same result. I tried to create just one slide and, when I tried to preview it, Captivate crashed immediately.

You're running a pretty old version of Captivate 9. There have been a few updates since that one.

I suggest you update your Captivate version immediately to 9.0.2.437 and see if your issue remains.

You haven't by chance also updated your MAC OS to Sierra in the meantime as well have you? There are reports by several users that Captivate 9 doesn't play nicely with Sierra.
