Question

Captivate 9 not publishing audio properly to video

I am using Captivate 9. I am trying to publish a product to video (MP4). I insert the audio to background and set it to loop. When I preview the project, the audio plays fine. When I publish it, the audio is overdubbed. I verified I have only one audio file in the course. I tried publishing with other audio files - same thing. I tried creating a new course from scratch as a test and it did the same thing. It seems to be Captivate 9. The funny thing is, I published this same course with a different audio file a few days ago, it worked just fine. This just started happening. Any ideas? Did I accidentally change a setting I don't know about. I've checked all the tutorials and it looks like I am doing this right. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you publish to SWF? Did you install the latest Flash Player? It has issues with Captivate published SWF's (and others as well).

I can publish to SWF. But my client specifically asked for MP4 video to play on iPhones. And, since I'm publishing ot MP4, Flash Player should not be an issue. Most people use Windows media or Quicktime as defaults players for MP4's.

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Captivate 9. That did not help. But, when I rebuilt the video in Captivate 8 and added the audio there. I can publish fine to MP4 video with Captivate 8. Captivate 9 still gives me problems. Regardless of the audio file I use and regardless of the course. All publish with overdubbing in Captivate 9.
