Captivate 9 on launch no UI

Trial version of Captivate 9 to evaluate RFI with other tools.

On launch (MBP15" 16gig RAM, El Capitan 10.11.6) the Recent/New dialogue is 9/10's off the display and when I choose a project type I have no UI only pulldowns.

I've deleted my ~/library/preferences/adobe Captivate 9 folder  to give myself some temporary cure. But quite frankly l am becoming frustrated with this whole application.

Other than uninstalling and reinstalling it - without reclaiming my 4 days, I cannot see a solution to my present conundrum and it's not helping me or giving Captivate a fair chance against the other solutions.

This is turning out to be a waste of time.

It is probably a resolution issue. What is the resolution of the screen?

    Lily,

the resolution is default MBP Retina display. I believe this is 2880x1800. Lowering the resolution did not change anything but make my Mac look like a Commodire 64.

    Many thanks,

I have no Mac, but both my Surface Pro and my laptop have a retina screen and CP9 handles them well. Have no idea how Mac is configuring the font size percentage (as Win10 does) but with Win, lowering the percentage could solve the issue. Hoping someone with a Mac could pop in. Are you on 9.0.2?

Can you check the file 'AdobeCaptivate.ini'?  I don't know if this applies to a Mac, but almost at the end do you find the option DPIAwareness? It should be set to 0 when working with Captivate on a retina screen.
