captivate 9 opens then closes

I have installed captivate 9 on windows 7 and 10. captivate launches then waits for around 5 seconds and then closes down?

is this happening to anybody else?

    Has Adobe resolved this issue?  Im experiencing the same problem with v9.  Trying to locate a previous version.   Why a company like Adobe cant just include Cp into their CC suite surprises me.

    I haven't seen the issue in the past few days. For me I ultimately worked around by logging out and running it in trial mode (per the Adobe Support folks).

    Hi everyone. I already had products such as Illustrator and Premier Pro installed and running on my PC. I have WINDOWS 10. Then I downloaded and installed Adobe Captivate. I was able to open it and then it disappeared by that I mean I could not see it under app list in Windows. However, I may have a work around. I go to the Program Files> Adobe> captivate and launch it by clicking on the app (.exe) file. It seems to work.  I remember many moons ago a similar problem  with Adobe ELearning Suite 2.5. However at that time I was not even able to launch the program. I was told to do the same steps that some of you have been asked to do. Uninstall/Reinstall, etc. Why should the sequence of installation of different programs affect this installation. Anyway, give the workaround a try and see if you are able to use the application.     I am in the same boat. It worked fine at the end of last week and then this morning I can't get it to stay open.

    Mac OSX 10.10.5

    Captivate 9

    (Adobe CC 2015 apps also installed)

    Subscription

    I am attempting an uninstall of everything and reinstall of just CP9 right now.

    I just installed Captivate 9 yesterday and the same thing is happening, it'll open for a few seconds then close down. So frustrating. I am also on a subscription.

    I really don't want to have to delete all my Adobe products then reinstall them!

    I have the same problem but on a Mac. Please share if you solve this issue!

    I worked with Adobe support and the correct way to do T his..... First uninstall all Adobe products (best to have a chat session with Adobe for this) as there are hidden files in the registrary etc...... Once they are all gone... Install captivate 9.....then all your other Adobe stuff. Not tried this on a mac, but  certainly works on Windows 7 and 10.

    Same here. Trued to uninstall and reinstall numerous times. This is a serious issue.

    I did uninstall all my fonts and it worked. But we obviously need fonts.... I  did make back up first. Try it see if it works for you. This is not the answer though.....
