Captivate 9 preview not working

Hi, 

I am using the latest version of Captivate 9 on my desktop,and the preview option has stopped working. Publishing works.

On my laptop, Captivate is previewing and publishing as expected. 

The module I am testing, is the same. So I'm pretty sure that there are no individual slide issues.

I would appreciate any ideas.

Unfortunately, there are many forms of 'not working.'

     Does it literally do nothing after selecting preview on the menu/buttons?

     Do you get a dialog that say  'Generating' or not?

     Does it generate a page, open it, and only show a black or blank screen?

    

Generic Recommended fixes:

Are you on a PC or Mac?

If PC then is your username of windows account has spaces in between like, "John Dow"?

     Others have created a second W7 user without a space and opened CP to test and been able to preview.

     Are you launching Captivate using the 'Run As Administrator' command?

If you are using Mac can you check that  you are NOT using any proxy in your web server.

In either case, you should ensure:

     Captivate is installed on a local (non-networked) hard drive

     Your cache folder, project file and library file are on a local drive

     Also ensure you have admin/ready/write rights to the folders identified for cache, projects and library storage.
