captivate 9, project expired, no source file

We have a project that was created using Captivate 9 trial version; and published to our local LMS. The published content has since expired. We have the licensed version.   The source file has been deleted. Is there a way to update the expired file without having to recreated the entire project in captivate?

    I'm very sorry but you should have to republish the file with the licensed version, which means that you need the source file.

    Hi there

    As Lilybiri said, you really need the source file. But seeing as you don't have it, and seeing as how this file is now expired, how do you go about even re-creating from scratch without being able to view it, right? I'm guessing here that you cannot view it and you just get the "Expired" message.

    This expiration works off the computer date and time. What you might try is to configure the date to be a date during the known working time period for the file. Once you do that, the project should play with no message about being expired. And if you can do that, it gives you an opportunity to screen capture any assets you need without re-creating them. You might also consider using something like TechSmith SnagIt or Jing to just record it as it plays. Or even Camtasia, as it allows you to save a single frame easily.
