Question

Captivate 9 publication and preview in html5 fails

Hello everybody!

I have a series of very similar project files, and only in one file there is this problem:

Everytime I click "preview: HTML5 in explorer", it says "publication failed" without any further explanation.

The same happens when I want to publish it as HTML5 project, swf is working but still with a failure notification.

Neither starting again nor saving with a new name helped so far.

Anyone some ideas?

Thanks a lot!

Best wishes,

Natascha

There's probably some element or slide in the project that has become corrupted and is causing this issue.  Try hiding small groups of slides and re-publishing to see if you can narrow down which slide is at issue.  Once you find the slide, start dragging objects out into the scrap area and then republish to see whether you can get it to successfully do so without any specific objects on the slide.

Hi Natascha,

You may try to close Captivate and then rename the Layouts folder in the below location and then check the behavior.

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets
