Captivate 9 -- Recording Frame Doesn't Match With What Is Actually Being Recorded

Hi,

I just started using Captivate a bit ago and I ran into some issues trying to record an application window.  It looks as though the recording frame (the red box) is not accurate to the output that I get after I hit the "END" key.

I've tried full screen recording, application window recording, and application region recording and in every case the window that I wanted to record has been completely inside of the recording frame guides (the red box).  However, in every case the output that I get cuts my application window in half (i.e. some how I'm not recording my application window, despite it being completely encased within the recording frame guides).

Does anybody have an idea of what the issue may be here?  I believe it is a bug, but I am still new to the software so maybe I am missing something.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Check whether perhaps your Display Percentage settings in Windows are greater than 100%.  Sometimes if the percentage is cranked up to 125% or higher (to make things easier to see) you can hit this issue.

How do I check my display percentage settings? Are these settings related to the Chrome browser setting display percentage?

Are you using the latest version of Captivate 9 which is 9.0.2.437?

Since you were able to record, I suspect you did change the dpiawareness to 1 as explained here:

Troubleshooting capture issues in high DPI machines

On Win 10 certainly check the Display percentage as explained by Rod.
