Captivate 9 recording software simulation with Photoshop 2017.0.1 Extemely slow at times

I'm using Captivate v9 to record software simulations that I'm doing in Photoshop 2017.0.1. At times this process is extremely slow and the mouse will actually freeze. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips? Thanks.

I have seen this behaviour mentioned by others on this forum.  The suggestions where to only use Captivate's Video Demo mode, or else use another app entirely to capture the screenshots/videos.

I just recorded the lesson using Camtasia. No issues at all. Strange that two programs written by the same company do not play as well together as one written by another company. Thanks for the help.

The alternative for Camtasia was mentioned by Rod: Video Demo which is included with Captivate and can be inserted in a cptx-file as well. The disadvantage of both video applications is that you cannot have the real interactivity of a software simulation. Although Camtasia has more bells and whistles, I prefer Video Demo for exactly the reason you mention: plays better with Captivate.
