Captivate 9 - S and T Get Combined (T hooks onto S)

Hi,

I have Adobe Captivate 9 and whenever I type the letters "s" and "t" together (e.g. burst) the t "hooks" onto the "s".

Here is a pic where it occurs in two fonts Trebuchet MS and Times New Roman. Note, that when the s and t are not together they are fine.

I have looked through the settings but can't find what is controlling this.

How can I turn it off?

Thank you for your assistance.

That's what I was wondering.  I've never seen this behaviour in any English version of Captivate but maybe the OS is over-riding the text in Captivate and substituting the s and t separate letters for a combination character that only exists in that language OS.

Can you check Preferences, Spelling Preferences to see which dictionary is used. This looks indeed like a combination character created for a specific language, but cannot detect which one.

Rod, I am using now an English OS, but using a Dutch OS never did create issues like this in Captivate. Maybe a very exotic language does?

Okay, thank you folks for pointing out the culprit was most likely outside of Captivate. Prior to installing Captivate I had installed Adobe Creative Cloud in English but with Hebrew language support. That seems to have been the culprit.

To explain, I am using an English version of Captivate 9 and the OS is regular US Windows 10. However, since I do need to type Hebrew often the system local is set to Hebrew. First, I tried changing the system local to English and reboot but that did nothing. Then I decided to see if the effect took place in other Adobe programs and found it also occurred in Photoshop and Indesign which led me to believe it was something with Adobe CC. I uninstalled all Adobe programs including the CC interface and downloaded Captivate again. This time the problem was not there. I then reinstalled Adobe CC in English with Hebrew language support and it did not effect Captivate which was already installed, but it is still affecting Photoshop etc. Thus, I think this is an issue with Adobe CC, particularly the version with Hebrew language support. Will try to take the issue to the appropriate forum to see if it can be resolved. It might be a bug.

    Thanks!!

Are you using an English version of Captivate or another foreign language version?

Are you on an English OS for your computer?
