Captivate 9 saved to pdf not working in web browsers

Hi,

I've been trying to upload interactive elearning  pdfs to my website, to use as a portfolio. The elearning programmes were created in Powerpoint, then loaded into Captivate 9 to add interactivity and saved as pdfs for the web. However, those pdfs won't open in a web browser. The only problem I can find is when I open 'Inspect' in every pdf, a warning shows '/deep/ communicator predicated'. Unfortunately I don't know what that means or where to go from here. Any ideas gratefully received.

‌Thanks Lilybiri. That being the case, I don't understand why the PDFs created in Captivate will play interactively on my desktop but not in a web browser.

I don't know exactly, but this means that you have both Adobe Reader and Flash player (working together) have installed. What happens with that collaboration when the pdf is displayed in (which) web browser, have no idea. It can also be due to something totally different, but I suspect it could be linked with that change for Adobe Reader (since XI I think).

That phrase should read 'deprecated' rather than 'predicated'

Contrary to a couple of years ago, Adobe Reader doesn't ship with an included Flash Player which is needed to play the interactive pdf created with Captivate (InDesign has also the functionality of creating interactive pdf's, that is why I added this detail).
