captivate 9 understanding the insanity of quiz question functionality?!

Hi, having some crazy issues with built in quiz question in CP9. There are knowledge checks in our course that have strange behavior. When you answer any question correctly you can click anywhere on the screen to continue and it goes to the next page (as it is meant to work). But if it is answered incorrectly, it will stay on the screen after I click on the screen to go to the next. I have to click it a second time in order for it to advance. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be going on here?

I have checked the slide for any possible objects that may have a pause, but I see none. And there are no actions on the enter or exit of the slide either.

The default setting for Knowledge slides is to have multiple attempts, and the caption (or shape, depends on chosen theme) for Retry Message is checked. You should have seen that message, unless you unchecked it. By default there is no Failure message, but you can check 1 Failure message instead of None. The design of the Knowledge slides is that you should answer correctly before proceeding, hence those default settings.

My question: did you change the Infinite attempts to 1 attempt? In that case the action 'Last Attempt' should be available and its default setting is the same as for Success: 'Continue'.

As for the pause: every Question slide, including Knowledge slides, has a pausing point set (default) at 1.5secs, which is clearly visible on the Timeline. The On Enter event is available for question/knowledge slides, the On Exit event is never available, it should be dimmed. I am puzzled by your last sentence about 'on enter and on exit'.
