Captivate 9 - Video Not Playing after Publishing (and hours of troubleshooting!)

Hiya!

Well, I'm stumped. Been using Captivate since it was a Macromedia product and I can't figure this out. Here's my set up and process and troubleshooting (HOURS of going through all the forum posts and speaking with support via phone).

I'm on a secure network with no link to the internet. This prevents loading of any updates or patches. So I either figure this out or no video content (which will suck!). Using Captivate 9, IE 11 (no other brand of browser available), Windows 7 (don't get me started!). I have ZERO influence on the versions so please don't suggest upgrades.

I have published several projects that do not contain videos with no problem whatsoever. Users access these training via a SharePoint site and link to the .swf file that is located in a folder with all associated Captivate files (Cascading Style Sheet doc, JScript, playbars, videos - FLV or MP4- files, etc.)

Important note: Several months ago, a colleague was able to publish a project using the same set-up and his FLV video event plays just fine in the .swf file.

I used Premiere Pro to edit and export the videos, all 3 less than 1 minute each, to several formats: H.264 (MP4), Quicktime (which Captivate 9 uses Media Encoder to convert to FLV), MPEG4. I have tried several 2 different bitrates, the default of 29.97 and 30. I have tried different width and height, default of 1920x1080 and 900x506.

When importing, I have tried both event (progressive download video with auto play selected and not selected) and synch as methods of inserting all of the above versions of the videos.

In the FLASH Global Settings, I have added: the network drive; the folder path; and finally the file itself. Videos still won't play.

When I use the Captivate preview, the videos play just fine. However, after publishing having used the "event" setting, the playbar is visible along the bottom and a loading bar is visible in the upper left corner of the window but no video. When I use the "synchronize" setting, a "connection error" appear over a circling loading icon in the middle of the screen but no video. It's the same if I use the published .htm file or the .swf file. No videos.

HELP!

Did you include the videos in the published folder? Do you have a relative link to them when inserting?

Yep. Everything associated with the published project is in the folder, including the videos that were inserted. And they don't play. I can play them in an external player (QT or WM). But not in the published project.

Did you check the link to the video? It shouldn't point to a path on your computer. Usually I will import the video in the Library and point to that video, not to a video somewhere on my systemµ. That way you have a relative link.

You are sure that the video format is supported by the server?
