Captivate 9 will not open

Captivate 9 shuts down when trying to launch. It is installed a on Windows 7 pc. I tried CleanPreferencesWin.bat but that did not help.

Hello,

Welcome to Adobe Forums !

Do you also have Adobe Captivate 8 installed on same computer ?

Do you see Adobe Application manager installed along with Adobe Captivate , If yes then please update it to Creative cloud Desktop app and then Sign in using your Adobe Id and Password.

After updating please try to launch Captivate 9 and see if you are able launch or not.

I am having the same problem. I do have Captivate 8 also, and I have the CC Desktop app. However, I'm having the same problem even after I log in to that Captivate 9 crashes on the startup screen... Captivate does not show up in that app at all by the way, is it supposed to?

Actually, I logged out of the CC Desktop app and logged back in and that seemed to have resolved the issue! I am in now. Thanks, I hope that works for the OP
