Same problem here.  I have found no way of previewing responsive content.  Which is very disappointing.

Edge inspect is not supported and the apps are not available.  Normal preview does nothing and interactions on other previews can not be tested.

    Any suggestions please?

I need a fix for this.

All HTML5 output, including Responsive, should be viewed in a web server environment.  Some things just don't work otherwise.

If you have access to a web server, you can certainly upload it there to preview.  But the 'easier' way is just to set up a XAMPP or WAMPP web server on your local development PC and set the default Captivate publish folder as being somewhere inside the www or html folder on that web server.  Then you run the web server whenever you are developing Responsive content with Captivate and need to preview it frequently.

    Hi there

    Perhaps more information is needed?

For example, exactly how are you attempting to preview? There are multiple preview options in Captivate.

What happens when you try? Does a window open, but it is blank? Does it appear to preview but it appears to stall at some point? Does it do nothing at all?

Basically what you have done so far is to walk into a doctor's office and say you aren't feeling well. So follow up questions have to be asked to clarify.

    Cheers... Rick

Which Preview method did you try? Do not use 'Play Slide' because that is NOT a preview method at all.

"Do not use 'Play Slide' because that is NOT a preview method at all."

While I do agree that it's not the best possible method of preview, I would strongly disagree that it's simply NOT a preview method at all.

I think even Adobe would disagree with that statement considering that the development team has an entry in the Preview button that is labeled "Play Slide".

I disagree, Rick, because Play Slide doesn't generate a temporary output file (not for SWF, not for HTML), which means that you never will see how it looks after publishing. I have been discussing about the location of that option 'Play Slide' (which was formerly even labeled as Preview slide, happy the team changed that term at least) under the Preview button because it leads to confusion. Even you are confused.

In any application Preview should show (almost) how it will look after publishing, which is not the case at all for Play slide. One example: pauses are not respected! And pauses are another cause for confusion, that is why I'm very busy writing a sequence of articles about the timeline(s) and pausing.
