Captivate 9 Youtube widget fails to launch video player - Safari only. Is this a known issue? Workaround?

The Youtube widget works with IE and Firefox but not Safari 10.1. The video player fails to appear when connecting with Safari at the LMS (LearnUpon) but works perfectly using IE and Firefox.  The player displays in SCORM Cloud with the Mac/Safari. 

Is this a known issue and is there a workaround other than dropping Safari?
