Captivate Classic not opening after Win11 Update

Hello all:

My org recently did a major Win 11 update (v22H2).  Now I am unable to get my Captivate Classic to open properly.

It launches and asks me to choose to Browse, Create, or explore resources.  However, when I either select an existing file, or ask it to create a new one, it fails to do so.  No UI, just the icon in the taskbar and blank thumbnails when I hover over the icons.

I am wide open to suggestions...

    That version is supposed to be compatible with Win11 but it is also rather buggy. I didn't hear yet that a recent update caused issues on this forum, but there are only very few threads since version 12 appeared.

    Didn't you try first to clean the Preferences? More info in:

    Which version of Captivate? Check the full version number under Help, About Captivate. You may need to update for compatibility with Win 11

    My version is 11.8.2.254.

    I wound up trying two things: one, I disconnected my external monitor and tried to open CpC that way and I also reinstalled the app.  Looks like I'm back in business, but that was still concerning behaviour.
