Captivate Closed Caption

Hello, I'm having a project when I close caption in Captivate.  I use Word to create my story board, then copy and paste to Captivate for my closed captions.  When I change the font to white, Captivate won't make the changes to the Project level and I must instead change each slide caption line to white.  Is there a way to correct this from happening as it's very inefficient?  Thank you.

Did you use unformatted text from Word? Never use copy/paste from Word with its formatting styles.

My copy/paste with formatting is unchecked, but I notice sometimes when I paste, the text doesn't look like the default from Captivate.

Personally I never copy/paste from Word. What you mention is bit reinforcing my suspicion about format styling. Try to copy/paste once from Notepad or another non-formatted editor?

You should be able to get the settings to apply over the entire project.

When you change the text colour in the Closed Caption settings, do you FIRST first scroll right up to the top of the slide order and set it to Project?

When you do this, another checkbox becomes visible that allows you to Override Slide level Settings with Project Settings.

Make sure you check that box as well.  Then change your text colour or any other setting and it should apply to all slides.

Thank you for your quick reply.  I have all the same settings and still can't get the font to change to white (with gray background).
