Captivate Crash - Video Slide or Video

Hello everyone,

after working without bigger troubles for a long time, a new error occured.

I am not able to create "Slide Video" or "Video" Media Blocks anymore. Everytime I click the symbol, it will crash.

Copying "Slide Video" or "Video" Media Blocks from other Projects works, until the moment I try to change the source, then it also crashes.

Of course this is a huge issue, as the content I am creating is often based on videos.

All other Media Blocks are working without any issue.

I reinstalled everything and also tried to clean preferences, as it was the solution for the last error, but it didn't help so far.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

BR,

Claudio

I have run into a dead end with my IT dept, and also with Adobe.  They informed me that this was already a known issue but that they did not have a timline established for a fix.

I just checked with my coworker who is not having a problem adding a Video or Slide Video from the Video Blocks tab.
His machine (ThinkPad T14 Gen2) is using Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics.
My machine (ThinkPad T16 Gen3) is using Intel(R) and crashed.

My IT dept. gave me a new machine (ThinkPad T14 Gen5) with Intel(R) graphics and it crashed as well.

I think we are onto something here with the Intel Arc Graphics.

Yes @ClaudioTwo  a few of us are having this same issue. @dennis_lamberti is kindly working with the Adobe team to fix it. I also have an open ticket with Adobe Support regarding this issue. Will post back here if I have any updates from Adobe Support.

Hi Claudio, this is a problem I have been working on with the Captivate development team in India. They do not have a solution for me yet but I am doing my own testing. Please tell me, does your machine use Intel Arc Graphics? My testing points to this as being the problem.
