Captivate Crashes on Publish (When Reporting is Enabled)

Hello,

My project publishes as a HTML5 SCORM file fine - UNTIL I enable reporting for the project.

As soon as I enable reporting for the project, no matter how much I tinker with the quiz reporting preferences, the whole program crashes mid-publish.

I use Adobe Captivate 6 and am unable to update to a newer version, as I am working for a local government organisation (apparently 9 will be coming to us soon.. but for now we're stuck with 6!).

How can I enable reporting for my project and still be able to publish the project as a HTML5 SCORM file without the whole program crashing?

Michelle

I'm not sure how you are running Captivate on your computer but it's been my experience that when Captivate isn't run with administrator rights enabled you will experience frequent crashes.

Hi Paul,

As I work in government, I don't get the option to open Captivate as an administrator. When I right click, the only option that appears is 'properties'. Is there any way to know if I am already running the program as an administrator? Sorry for the silly question.

I haven't had these kind of problems with the program previously when creating online learning programs.

Thanks

Michelle

Watch and follow the instructions in this video.

If these options are not available to you, you will have to partner with your IT department to have them set up Administration rights for your copy of Captivate.
