Captivate Crashes when adding assets

I just downloaded Captivate 2019 on a Mac but when I start a project or try to add an asset it just quits and closes.  I'm in my free trial period so I do not have access to Adobe tech suppport.  Can anyone tell me what the problem/resolution might be?
