Captivate draft to captivate desktop not exporting as designed

When I export my captivate draft work and open it in the desktop app, all the elements are in place as I designed them, but any text that I've entered has been stripped out, defaulting back to 'type a caption here' or 'type a question here'. Sharing and previewing on the web works as expected. Am I doing something wrong with the desktop application? Here's a side by side comparison showing what I make in the draft app vs what I get when I open the same file in Captivate:

It's primarily quiz slides that don't work, although I've also had an instance of a textbox not working too. Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
