Captivate encoding URL

Question

I have a URL that ends in

Guidelines.pdf#page=34

that I've entered as a hyperlink. When I run the course it looks like captivate changes it to

guidelines.pdf%23page%3D34/

causing the browser to throw a 404 error.

How do I stop Captivate from encoding/changing the URL I enter?

BTW is there a reason why Adobe choose to make the edit field for a link's URL to only fit about 32 characters? I know some URLs are that short but many are way longer (this page's URL is 97 characters long) and trying to check/enter them in such a small edit field gets old fairly quickly.

HI thereI might try the reverse. Copy the encoded URL and paste it instead of the one with the correct looking characters.As for the length and editing, I would use something like Windows Notepad to make my edit, then copy from there and paste into the field.Cheers... Rick
