Captivate Internal Server Reporting - Outdated php code

The files InternalServerReporting.php and internalserverread.php contain lines that are no longer functional in the current version of php.

I read somewhere here that it is necessary to find someone who can write php to modify them.  Aren't these files part of the functionality of Captivate and they should be kept up to date by Adobe?

Anyway, if anyone here has already updated such files and cares to share, I appreciate the help. Or, if I had misunderstood the problem and need other information, I am grateful for any light you care to throw my way.

Hi Fabiana, did you ever find a solution or had the .php reauthored?

    No.

I gave up on Captivate. It was expensive and cumbersome. I got into an
annual contract unknowingly and could not get out of it without paying a
    hefty penalty.

It is amazing that companies can make money out of products and then rely
on the community for customer support.

Ideally yes it would be Adobe that updated these files.

However, given that Captivate 2019 is now almost 4 years old and very little of its main functionality has been updated over that time I would say that it is unlikely Adobe will update these PHP files.  They may not even keep the Internal Server as an option in the next version of Captivate (which is currently in development but with no timeframe on release date).

If you have encountered this issue recently, it is likely because your web host has updated their version of PHP and that version has now deprecated some of the code in these older PHP files in Captivate.  Since Adobe is unlikely to be helpful, my suggestion is that you look around for a PHP developer.  They will likely be able to modify the lines of code in a very short time.  Some might even be willing to make the necesary modifications free of charge (if you are very blessed).

Hmm. I can't be sure but it sounds like you might have been using an email reporting or other custom widget created by Michael Lund, otherwise known as CPGuru. I don't know if he is still supporting those widgets, but you can try contacting here.  https://www.cpguru.com/contact-us/

I am using one of the possible reporting tools provided with Captivate as described in these Adobe instructions
    https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/report-quiz-results-internal-server.html
The files InternalServerReporting.php and internalserverread.php were included when I downloaded Captivate about a month ago.
