Captivate not resuming after quiz complete just getting the loading screen

Hi Everyone.

I am using captivate 5 and have created a 60 slide project. The project contains 8 quiz questions and is published as scorm 1.2. The project is delivered using moodle 2.02. The problem is this. When the project is first launched it loads and plays correctly. If the student exits before the quiz is complete and then comes back to it later the project resumes correctly, The problem occurs where the student exits the project after the quiz is complete. If after this point the student tries to re-launch the project later, the project launches but gets stuck at the gray loading screen. I have installed the latest hotfixes and the problem seems to occur on all browsers.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

regards

J

UPDATE: I reported this bug in the Feature Request/Bug Report Form and tech support contacted me quickly and guided me to install a hotfix (available just for my CP version and Win10 at this moment). It worked fine.

Hi there! Old post, but I´m having the same issue when I try to make a second attempt from the LMS in a course that includes a random question pool. In the first attempt you can view the complete course and questions, but when you leave anywhere and try to resume later, it gets stuck. It even happens when testing the course in the built-in scorm cloud.

I´m using the last version available of Captivate 2019, I reinstalled the app and I´m testing a very basic questionnaire with blank or default values for everything and it keeps failing every time I try a second attempt.

I have no issues when using normal questions (without pool nor random). It seems there is a problem when the captivate functions for resuming the bookmark are used in a content that includes question pools.

The console in Firefox or Chrome looks catastrophic:

One of the suspect lines is this one where the question pool is included in the list of json files:

var lJSFiles = [  'assets/js/jquery-3.3.1.min.js','scormdriver.js','assets/js/CPM.js','pools/preguntas/preguntas.js' ];.

If the course don´t include a pool there is no issue, if it includes one I get stucked in the second attempt.

Any clues?

Thanks.

I'm having an identical issue with my published SCORM packages, and was able to replicate it on both the LMS we're using and SCORM Cloud. I would have never guessed it was related to question pools. Hopefully a fix is coming soon.

Any fix to this?  We seem to be having a similar problem...

December 2, 2011

I recently sent a bug report to Adobe. I have sent them a sample Captivate file where this problem is happening. I have yet to hear anything back from their investigation.

I will keep you updated if I hear anything back.

thanks

How many attempts have you allowed in the Moodle settings for this module?

April 21, 2011

Hi Rod, thanks for getting back to me. Moodle is set to unlimited attempts but with grading set to first attempt.

OK.  I've not struck this issue before with Moodle, but that may be due to using earlier versions of Moodle.

Here are a couple of things to try:

Try setting more grading attempts in Moodle and not make any changes to the Captivate lesson itself.  If this now allows the user to open the module again, you know where the issue is.

If changing the attempts in Moodle has no effect, try changing the Required settings in the Captivate module Quiz > Settings.  Set it so that the user can skip the quiz if they want.  That's the least restrictive setting.  If that now allows the user to progress again, this setting may be your issue.
