Captivate older versions

Hello,

I have 3 questions:

1. Can I still buy older versions of captivate from Adobe shop? I can't find it.

2. What versions of Flash Player is available in Captivate 6 and 5.5?

3. What version of Internet Explorer is needed for playing Captivate 5.5, 6 and 7?

I am sorry but Adobe don't sell any version except the current one ( Neither full nor subscription ) .

Is there any requirements of Internet Explorer version for Cp7?

I've only found that Cp3 is compatible with IE 6 or later

Hello Agnieszka,

Adobe Capivate generated swf doesn't depends on version of internet explorer rather it depends on the Flash player installed on it.

Captivate 7 can publish to Flash 10 and above. So for playing the output you need internet explorer having Flash player 10 and above.

1.  You can write to one of the support staff (Mayank, Anjanei, Nimmy, etc.) Adobe for earlier versions of Captivate.

2.  I guess you want to know for which version of Flash Player can you publish in Captivate 6 and 5.5. For both these versions, you can publish to a minimum of version 9.

3.  If you are publishing to HTML5, you need atleast IE 9. For SWF/HTM output, I am using version 8 and it works fine.

Ad 2. I am wondering - what about version IE 7 for swf?
