Question

Captivate produced MP4 is not providing optimum quality for vimeo

Hi Everyone,

I have created few courses using the captivate 5.5 and 6 version. And now I want to upload these courses to Vimeo platform. These courses are designed in 1280*720 px resolution in captivate.

Vimeo has some specifications regarding the frame rate and bit rate for good quality video. I have tried many options to reach that quality level but unfortunately i was unable to get that output. If I upload the captivate produced MP4 video on vimeo, it gets blurred at some places and quality also decreases.

Here's the vimeo spec link: https://vimeo.com/help/compression

Can anybody help me to get that high quality MP4 from the captivate....

Thanks & Regards

5.5 didn't have HD Video Demo. Did you use that in CP6? Not sure that it will be sufficient quality but it is the best available for the moment.

Thanks for responding, Lilybiri...

In Captivate 6, its available but for youtube only. And youtube has its own specifications which are different from vimeo.

Can you please let me know, how i can improvise the quality of the MP4 video published from captivate (in case if there is any other tool available). As per my research, we cannot increase the bit rate of any video, once it is rendered with any tool.

Did you use HD Video Demo which resulted in a cpvc file and publishes only as a MP4?
