Greetings, I have a problem with my captivate project, I can only see it working when I check in html5, the rest of the preview modes and publishing doesn't work, they crash or show a white screen while the audio keeps going or just show the first slide while the audio keeps going.. Checked for pause buttons or something that might be pausing the 1st slide (if it doesn't crash) but there's nothing.. Please help

Thanks for replying, yeah I tried everything but still fails.. My guess is, something inside the project is making it fail for some reason, last atempt started the project but stays in the 1st slide again, but after some time a bit of the project plays..

Can you try a very simple project to see if that issue is the same?

If it is not, you could indeed have some corruption. Try in that case to hide a bunch of slides, to detect which slide is corrupted. It will be trial and error.

Which version do you use? I suspect it is a normal, not a responsive project because of your description. For a normal project, the only Preview method which is not using Flash output is Preview HTML in Browser (F11). If my suspicion is correct, I suspect either that you the folder to which you publish is ot added to the Flashed trusted locations, or you don't have Flash Player installed (or use a browser where the Flash player plugin is not enabled).

Hi, as you say, it's a normal project, but I do have flash player installed, I have tried everything I've found in forums about reinstalling and installing flash player again, now it plays, but it just shows a blank slide or stays on the 1st one while I can hear the audio of the next slide going.. Like I said before, it only works in html5 but I need it to be an executable exe as my client requested.. I have no idea of what the problem is..

Did you check if the folder to which you publish is added to the trusted locations? Did you try to upload to a webserver and check if it plays there? An executable is Flash based indeed, hope your client realizes that Flash player is announced to be taken out in 2 years....
