Captivate project results completed before the end of all slides

Hi there,

I have done a Captivate project which has no quiz inside. It's just a project of slides of content. My version of Captivate is 5.5

I'm using this file for a course on an LMS platform, so I set it SCORM compliant. The file is made of 20 slides and I set it so that it should result completed after having seen 100% of slides.

So I set it for a total of 20 slides and 100% of slides seen. Also, I ticked off multiple attempts.

However, once I overcome the first half of the course, right after the second attempt (sometimes even after the first one), the course results already completed.

How can this be possible?

Thanks

Valentina

Hi Valentina,

Keeping the Slide views only as the reporting criteria for completion, would verify that user has viewed all the slides to their complete duration in the project.

So, if the duration is 10 sec for a slide, user must view complete 10 seconds to haev that particular slide viewed correctly, anything below it would be incomplete. \

So, when you are in your second attempt, I think you must have viewed all the slides of your project wheich were left out.

To verify, add a TOC to your project (project -- Table of Content) and when you get tick next to each slide it would confirm if you ahve viewed it successfully.

Thanks,

Hi Anjaneai,

Thank you for your answer. As you stated correctly, we have set Slide views only for all 20 slides and the completion of the whole project should be after having seen the very last one.

After we have seen the first 10 slides and closed the project correctly, we attempt again and start the course where we left.

We then see other 4 slides (so until the 14th one) and close the project. We attempt again and start the course where we left.

We then see other 2 slides (so until the 16th one) and close the project. However, this time when we attempt again, the project starts from the beginning and it results completed... but we saw only 16 slides out of 20, so not 100% of the total!

What we find difficult to understand is where the problem lies, because all "Slide views only" requirements are set properly for our purpose as well as our LMS platform setting.

Can you help us?

Thank you

Valentina

Hi Valentina,

Could you pelase check the same behaviour on http://cloud.scorm.com , register yourself for a free account and upload your project there and compare the results.

Also, have you given 3 attempts for your project or infinite under Pass or Fail windows of Quiz Preference.

Thanks,

Anjaneai
