can i create a captivate project with quizzes and place it in my private facebook fanpage?

will it work and will the data be saved to LMS?

It would as long as you're linking to the course that's uploaded in your LMS and it allows for anonymous users that aren't logged in. Facebook doesn't have a way to allow you to "post" the course on your page and have it launch directly from there like you were playing a video.

You also need to remember that SCORM courses must usually be launched from the LMS domain itself (though Rustici/SCORM have some workarounds for that now).
