Captivate Quiz Random questions repeating on retakes

Captivate 9 using a Mac

I have a 10 question quiz

5 questions are compulsory

5 questions are random from 10

Have created 10 question pools. 5 with a single compulsory question and 5 with two random questions

Users must retake the quiz so at the end there is a $$username$$ you achieved $$cpQuizInfoPointsscored$$

AND Advanced Action Pass = Show close and quit (hide other) and Fail = Show Retake button and Hide other.

The problem is when retaking the quiz (NOT relaunching) the quiz presents the very same questions. I am guessing this is because the random questions are chosen when the project is loaded (is html)

Questions ARE random when closing and relaunching the project

How can we make the retake random?

I can only think to create another set of pooled questions and apply IF retaking quiz SHOW 2nd pool...

but this is a guess and prefer not too many break points

thoughts...

Correct answer Lilybiri

I am sorry but that is the way the random questions are indeed fixed, once they are chosen from the pool. Retake will never use new random questions.

Thanks Lilybiri

I thought so - it occurred to me going home yesterday this was indeed true.

Actually I am lucky because we have an LMS and so I can load course + quiz AND quiz with prerequisite (=completed course+quiz) into the LMS

this may be useful to others to consider
