Captivate Quizzes "freezing"

Hello - we've had issues with people getting stuck in our quizzes within Captivate 9. We've removed the back button, but when learners try to move back to the body of the course & come back to the quiz, or leave the module to work on something else and then come back to finish the quiz, it freezes. Are there settings we need to adjust in order to prevent this issue in the future?

Hi John, did you ever find a solution to this problem? My users are experiencing a similar issue where the quiz freezes when they jump back to a content slide during the middle of a quiz, and when they return back to the quiz from the TOC, the quiz is frozen. My quiz required setting is set to optional and backward movement is allowed.

Design of the default quizzes is that you lose all further attempts on a quiz slide, if you leave that quiz slide (like for visiting a content slide). There are only two situations where this can be overridden:

When using Submit All in Quiz Preferences
When using Remediation.

Allowing backward movement in a normal quiz is for that reason not at all recommended.

Got it, thank you! I removed "Backward movement is allowed" and selected "Must answer all quiz questions to continue" so that my users aren't able to navigate away to a content slide while taking the quiz. This appears to be working well for our users.
