I have a captivate project around 62 slides which consists of audios, animations, jpegs, effects and questions and the file size of the cptx is around 341 MB.

When published to SCORM and when played in LMS, the course takes around 5- 7 mnts to load. All the Users complains of the loading issue and iam badly looking for a fix. This course has to be deployed  in an LMS for around 1500 users. The users have to see the modules and answer the quiz where they will be graded pass or fail.

The size of the scorm package is 121 MB.

Pls help me to sort out this  loading issue..once it loads, the navigation inside the modules are fine. The users wont wait for 5 to 10 mnts and they are complaining the course is freezing..

Pls help me..

It is a pretty big file! Did you do everything to lower the file size?

Which version do you use?

Which SCORM? 1.2 or 2004?

Which Scorm template? Did you try the template SendDataTrackingAtEnd?

Which exact version of CP8? We are at 8.0.3.290.

But it looks like file size issues, could also be linked with bandwidth problems. Is this published to SWF or to HTML?

Do you have a lot of advanced actions and variables? If not, could you try to copy/paste the slides to a blank new project with same resolution to check if the filesize is going down?

For images: did you create them at exact the resolution that you needed. Beware of editing a much bigger image in Captivate because that will not reduce the file size. Keep audio files as short as possible, and look for publish settings that offer just sufficient quality (never use stereo).
