Captivate: Slide labels and accessibility

When your project is enabled for accessibility, how exactly is the slide label used for that purpose? That is, how and when is it read by a screen reader? Are there any other accessibility impacts?

    The Slide Label would only be visible in the TOC.  But since the TOC is not accessible, most developers don't use it for those types of projects.
