Captivate starts but freezes - Mac, Sierra

Captivate opens but then freezes with a spinning beach ball. Captivate was working fine for me last fall.  I am on a Mac running Sierra.

Any suggestions?

I'm sorry to inform you, that Captivate doesn't work with Sierra yet. It's incredible but real!

When do you expect to have Captivate 2017 work on Sierra OS?  I downloaded the 30 day trial version; it translates old Cp files but I cannot create anything from scratch.

Thank you!  I never would have thought Adobe would neglect to update the software to be compatible.

You guys are DEFINITELY using Captivate 9.0.2.437 version right?

(The version that you downloaded back in September last year might not be this current version.)

    Which version of Captivate?

It is Captivate 9.  I cannot see the version number because everything is frozen on the application when I try to start.

My first thought was to see if there was an update, but Captivate freezing doesn’t allow checking for an update.  It was installed when I had El Capitan running.

I bought Captivate in September 2016, so it is whatever version being sold them.
