Captivate swf navigation problems - buttons sometimes work, sometimes don't

I have a single Captivate 5.5 file with 100+ slides. I have Back and Next buttons on most slides, as well as navigation buttons to get to the beginning slides for the different sections in the module.

Some of the nav buttons work right all the time, some never work right, and some are intermittent - sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. When they don't they either go to the wrong slide, or nothing happens.

I'm stumped about why this is happening. The properties of the buttons that work are identical to the ones that don't. One possibility is that I have quiz slides grouped throughout the module. I'm wondering if the problem could be related to that.

Any ideas?

    Hi Stuart,

Are the malfunction buttons placed on Quiz Slides?

Can you copy and paste all slides to a new blank project of same resolution and republish that. (Note, you need to deselect the Quiz Result Slide before copying, as it can' be copied)

Are you view the project locally or over LMS?

    Thanks,

    Anjaneai-

Thanks for getting back to me.

There are no navigation malfunctions on the quiz slides. I haven't added any navigation buttons to them yet.

I'll try your suggestion of copying the slides to a new blank project. That's a good idea.

I have run the project locally and on SCORM Cloud, and the problems are the same.

    Thanks again.
