None of the courses for CP2019 have any value for the new version, because everything has changed. The only video tutorials - which I refer to as very old-school and lacking real insight in the problems for newbies - are those on the eLearning community created for Adobe. There is nothing else around worthwhile, whereas for CP2019 tons of tutorials, good and crap, could be found everywhere.
I did see the images you showed on the first question, but you showed a Title slide. I already explained about the containers and their components. I had promised myself not to help for the new version (am an expert in CP2019 but all expertise is lost for the new version), but feel so sad about the lack of support. Here is a summary of the construction of that slide:
- The image is a background image for the slide. You'll see it in the Properties panel for the slide which is when nothing is selected.
- The text is in a container of the Text Block type 'Paragraph'. It has three components: two texts and a button.
- You cannot delete any thing by selecting it and click Delete (as would be the real intuitive way). You need to open the Properties panel for the Text Block. It can by clicking the text block, but personally I prefer to use the Timeline to select, to be sure I select the Paragraph_Group_61 (which is the generic name of that group in this slide).
- In the Properties panel for the group, you'll see the three components seelcted with a check box. Uncheck what you don't want. There is one unselected component 'Subtitle'.
- I will not expand on the Card option here, think you have gotten the answer.
Is that new version not intuitive? Please, tell me your opinion.
I am sorry not to have answered the original question with this information which will probably be stolen as happened so much in the past.
Thank you for the help. I am coming from Storyline so based on what you said, I looked for a comparison between the two. That led me to Tim Slade's video which answered all my questions. He said it is more like Articulate Rise in its responsiveness. He demonstrated the text lock issue I asked about and said he feels the inability to edit and add graphics makes it less intuitive than Storyline and I agree. Both softwares have their place and with the popularity of Rise, it makes sense for Adobe to go in that direction, easier and faster design. The addition of the scrolling slide is really interesting. https://youtube.com/watch?v=hV-SVu_lmAQ&feature=sharec
