Captivate v12.3/12.4 - Video as Background

Hi there,

First time posting on these forums having been a long time lurker to a many unanswered question.

I'm in the process of transitioning from Adobe Captivate Classic to Adobe Captivate 2019 and was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to have a video (.mp4 specifically) as a background that could loop? This was possible in Adobe Captivate Classic; however, I do not see the file type as an option with Adobe Captivate 2019 (only .jpg, .png, .bmp, .iso, and .svg).

Even a .gif could be a workable solution if it's at all feasible. If not, does anyone know where/how we can request features?

Thanks!

Are you trying to overlay text on the video? Or just have a video run on the slide? If it is the latter, I would just add a "slide video", which takes up the whole page and runs automatically. To make it loop, you could likely make a bookmark and have it interact to go back to the beginning of the slide.

Thanks for replying. I was hoping for the former. Having a video as a background where I can overlay images and text. I presume it's not possible at this stage.

Yeah, sadly not possible at this stage. If you are just overlaying images and text, I'd use a video editing tool- like adobe rush, canva, adobe express, adobe premiere pro. etc.
