CaptivateWindow

This incomplete window comes up when I open captivate in Windows 10 with 32 gb memory and 10.5 gb space remaining on Drive C.

I installed the program on another drive to save space on drive C

Are you or have you by chance been using Captivate with multiple monitors?  Some jenky stuff seems to happen for me when I do, exactly like what you have...It won't display or it will be half off of the screen with no way to grab or resize. If you have not been using multiple monitors than it is likely unrelated, but here is the fix that I use.

Make sure captivate is closed, and disconnect  any other monitors (you can reconnect once the process is complete)

Go into you Program Files/Applications and find Captivate. Next find the utils folder and use the preferences cleaner. There is a MAC and a Windows verison.  It actually happens so often to me that I found the hidden file for captivate preferences in my Library and delete it as needed.

The way I have found to avoid this from happening (if it is multiple monitor issue) is to make sure captivate is on the main screen and all its elements (properties, timelines, etc) are on that screen as well.

    Hope that helps, quite frustrating!

    Hi there

This is always worth a try with pretty much any application when you are dealing with a lost or forlorn window on a Windows operating system. It won't work for all windows unfortunately. There are several in Captivate where it won't work. But when it does work, it can be a godsend.

First, the window in question needs focus. So try clicking on it. Then, if you have a nifty Windows keyboard that sports a Windows logo as shown below, press and hold that Windows key while you tap the left or right arrow keys a few times.

    Cheers... Rick

10GB is not much left on that disk. Where are your documents stored? Captivate creates automatically folders for the CP-files and the Cache files in 'My Documents'. It would be better to have those folders elsewhere.

However this looks more like a resolution problem. What is the % setting for the display? Screen resolution?
